  • Development of collaborative robotic systems with wireless connectivity based on multi-connectivity schemes (5G, Wifi, LoRa, etc.).
  • Advanced interference and jamming detection systems, network security applications.
  • AI for solving communication problems.
  • Multi-antenna and multi-user wireless communication systems: MIMO, interference cancellation and management, multiple access systems (SDMA, NOMA, RSMA), cognitive radio, new modulation schemes, etc. Implementation on Software Defined Radio platforms.
  • Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISaC), using communication itself for sensing problems.
  • Measurements and modeling of 5G propagation and coverage of the private network deployed at the Gijón University Campus.
  • Development of new technologies and topologies in RF circuits for FR2 and FR3 bands.
  • Correction of hardware impairments in communication models.
  • Development of multi-antenna systems with beamforming capability for 5G/6G applications.
  • Advanced wireless and digital communication systems, with emphasis on 5G/6G.
